the honey locust collection

$620

My hope with this collection is to draw attention to the importance of small businesses in our communities.

This collection draws inspiration from castings of honey locust thorns from Catland Books, a local store in Bushwick in New York City.

Each piece holds the memory of the place and time the purchase was made.

Honey locust symbolizes beauty, protection and tolerance.

Each piece of nature was molded and cast in 14K fairmined gold. I used responsibly sourced pink opal from Peru to accentuate each piece of jewelry.

The honey locust thorn necklace comes with a fairmined gold chain purchased from Riva Precision Manufacturing in Brooklyn.

I am donating a portion of the sales to Made in NYC, a nonprofit initiative that supports local manufacturers and makers in New York City.

The necklace is on display at Specific Gravity, Brooklyn Metal Works.

Launching during NYC Jewelry Week, on November 16, 2022, the pieces will be on display and available for purchase at Specific Gravity and on the gallery’s website through the end of the year.
