sterling silver with a rutilated quartz stone acorn ring

The acorn ring is inspired from walks in the woods on a Fall day.  I collected acorns and twigs while she was on spiritual retreats in New York and Canada, casted the pieces, and married them together using the ancient technique of lost wax casting.  Using this technique allows me to preserve the natural texture of the acorn and twig.

Available with a large rutilated quartz gemstone or without a stone.  Each ring is custom made.

Rutile often forms as thin, needle-like crystals, which are commonly found as inclusions in minerals such as quartz and corundum. Rutile is commonly a brownish-red color due to the presence of iron. The name rutile derives from the Latin word “rutilus,” which means “red.  Rutilated Quartz is an illuminator for the soul, promoting spiritual growth.
