The twig ring in silver with a blue sapphire
This ring was cast from a bud-covered branch from a tree in Brooklyn. The branch, like ivy, wraps around the finger. It is reminiscent of the designer's childhood when she used to wrap twigs around her fingers and pretend they were rings. The stone was set in place with beads and the ring was cast in silver by using the ancient technique of lost wax casting.
